What is DiaBro3?

DiaBro3 checks your character and shows you the most efficient monster power level(MP) for you to solo farm, it is best if you log out completely unbuffed to get the most accurate rating. For pure farming purposes MP1 or MP2 are the easiest for many people to farm, until they reach a high enough level of gear that MP3 feels like MP1.

Our goal is to determine when we think you can do higher content with the same ease as lower content, thus being able to add the MP level bonuses for drops without the extra struggle.

Note: We also check your characters gear and display our theory on which pieces are weak and strong.

Gear Ratings Explained

DiaBro3 assesses your gear on a class specific algorithm, taking many variables into account, we identify if a Diablo 3 item is worthwhile or needs an upgrade.

We have found that one of the frustrations of playing Diablo 3 is that it is difficult to identify which item might be holding back your advancement. The idea behind this gear rating system for Diablo 3 is to quickly inform a Hero as to which item needs an upgrade.

Our system is built around informing you of which item has rolled well for your class, please do not use the ratings as a be-all and end-all to your choice of gear, but use it as a guideline to find out what item could use an upgrade.

Gear Score Explained

DiaBro3 takes your gear as a whole and assigns a complete gear score, giving you an easy to understand assessment of your average gear level. Having this number will help you compare your gear to friends or other people you may have looked up on the armory, allowing you to find out where your character sits.

A higher gear score will usually correlate to the Monster Power Level you should be attempting. However, our algorithm for Monster Power takes many things into account, and gear is just one point of assesment. You could have double the Gear Score of your friend, however your gear might be tanky, allowing you to survive content, but not cut through it like butter.

FAQ

DiaBro3, why is my optimal MP level so low?

DiaBro3 is determined to make the game fun for you. The optimal monster power level is derived from multiple aspects, taking into account your gear, effective health, and damage. We arrived at the suggested MP by aiming to lower the amount of deaths per run as well as how efficiently you can kill mobs. We know that someone optimized for MP5 could do MP10, however, taking too long on an elite pack is just not optimal.

We do not want to send you to an monster power level you can get by on, we want to send you somewhere you can optimally crush the content.

When does DiaBro3 update my character?

DiaBro3 is built directly on top of the battle.net api. We can not update unless your armory is up to date. In order to update your armory you must log off of your Diablo 3 account in game. This will save the changes to your armory profile and in turn we can show you your information once you refresh our website.

Why are tooltips not showing correctly for my items?

DiaBro3 dynamically grabs your items from the Diablo 3 armory as you hover them. It works by interacting with a script built on the battle.net server side. Unfortunately, if you hover quickly form one item to another it can cause the tooltip to show up incorrectly.

If you are having issues, we suggest refreshing our page, and moving slowly from one box to another. We are actively working on changing this behavior, and apologize for the inconvenience.

Why does DiaBro3 recommend a different gem in my helm?

We recommend using an Amethyst(%life) gem in your helm for multiple reasons. You will be gaining a nice boost to your effective health pool at a limited cost to other potential stats in your helm. Magic find and Gold find have no real value in helping you smash content, so the reason for not using those is obvious. The Ruby(Increased Experience) gem is contentious because your goal may be faster leveling. However, if an increase to your EHP allows you to survive higher content than MP3, you will be gaining a higher boost in leveling efficiency from a %life gem.

How do I find my BattleTag?

Your BattleTag and code are viewable in Battle.net Account Management and the Diablo III social interface.
